Hi there,
I'm having an issue with pacman for a couple of months now. I'm not able to update from home, while everything works fine from my office. When I update from home I get this errors:
:: Synchronizing package databases...
error: failed retrieving file 'core.db' from ftp.swin.edu.au : Resolving timed out after 10000 milliseconds
error: failed to update core (download library error)
error: failed retrieving file 'extra.db' from ftp.swin.edu.au : Resolving timed out after 10000 milliseconds
error: failed to update extra (download library error)
error: failed retrieving file 'community.db' from ftp.swin.edu.au : Resolving timed out after 10000 milliseconds
error: failed to update community (download library error)
error: failed retrieving file 'multilib.db' from ftp.swin.edu.au : Resolving timed out after 10000 milliseconds
error: failed to update multilib (download library error)
error: failed to synchronize any databases
error: failed to init transaction (download library error)(same output with any server I choose from the mirrorlist)
As most posts around suggested, I disabled ipv6, but nothing changes..
Any suggestions how can I use pacman again from home? Could it be Internet provider issue?
thanks

sure its
pacman -SyyuOffline
I get this error when my net connection stops working. Do you have proxy settings that pacman is not able to reach?

I have no proxy settings, it's a regular Wlan connection.
