Hello,
I just tried to chat a bit in the official IRC channels (and the unofficial #archlinux-newbie) but my connection dropped and I can't rejoin. I have never had this with any other service on the net.
What exactly was that I joined the server which took a good minute or two (which is really long imo), typed
/j #archlinux and realized I couldn't post in there.
Then I joined the newbie channel via
/j #archlinux-newbieand shortly after I thanked someone who replied to my issue it said the client disconnected.
I remember IRC servers (not any network in particular) being a bit wonky about 10 or so years ago, so that is why I am asking. Also I think I am quite sure I don't have any specific router settings that could prevent me from staying on the freenode network. If I'm mistaken and special settings are needed, does anyone know what I should do to solve this?

I honestly do not get what you are trying to tell me. Maybe this is based on a misunderstanding–as I am mostly concernced with my connection or lack thereof, when I had a connection I experienced a big lag in #archlinux-newbie. Not being able to post in the official #archlinux channel was not tge top priority of my thread.
