@graysky There has been an update of the 'broadcom-wl' AUR package today - with a number of comments. I have just tested this new version against the latest default kernel 3.8.3-2 and it now works for me.

Please can you rebuild the ck versions with this latest patch - I can test as soon as it's available.

Same here for the -core2 one. Seems there are no architecture optimized packages for virtualbox-ck-host-modules anymore (see http://repo-ck.com/x86_64.htm). The question is only if this is on purpose or not.

@moscar and mfs - Something happened on the godaddy host; my local copy is fine. They are now blocking my IP from connecting via ssh or scp. This is the 2nd time this has happened in as many weeks. I have emailed them ...can anyone recommend a reliable and affordable host with linux shell support?

EDIT: I am able to login using PLAIN TEXT passwords over ftp! <Sheesh>

I will update the thread when I am able to resync my local copy. Sorry for their incompetents.

The r8169 driver doesn't work reliably for me, so I am forced to use the r8168 driver.

@vorenon - Sorry, but I don't want to add that package to the repo since it would need to be compiled for 27 different CPU/Arch combos. Is there a reason why you can't do it manually from the AUR?

I use dkms, and it works pretty well. For this though, it is easiest if you simply don't have the r8168 package on your system, and instead just keep the r8168-dkms package on your system. The only downside to this, is that sometime you have to manually clean out old kernel modules for kernels that are no longer on your system.
