Gnome Shell very slow startup

After logging in through GDM the GNOME Shell starts up very very slowly. During this time ( which is around 1 minute ) I can move my mouse around, and the default desktop wallpaper is there, but nothing else happens.
Also, sometimes when I reboot psmouse-alps-driver breaks unexpectedly and i have to reinstall it. These two issues might be related.

I don't really know which logs to post, so, please, give me a hand with that?
I'm using intel graphics drivers on an Ivy Bridge 3610QM. Laptop model: Acer Aspire v3-771-G.

Re: Gnome Shell very slow startup

It happened to me and has been for a long time. I got a new laptop about a month ago -- an i7. Though it's not as long as it was on my old desktop, it happens on this machine too. It happened right from a fresh install. I think it's just what Gnome does. I have no answers.

Re: Gnome Shell very slow startup

perhaps it is because of tracker search. you can deactivate or uninstall it and look, if that solves the problem

Re: Gnome Shell very slow startup

I have the same problem on a Thinkpad X200 (Gnome with different Linux Distros). I'm not sure but I think it has somthing to do with the Network/WLAN driver?
