I'm running Arch on a Macbook Pro 9.1. Latest update of nouveau and xorg-server borked X. Not really experienced in Xorg/graphic drivers, so I though I try posting here.
xf86-video-nouveu 1.0.6-1 -> 1.0.6-2
xorg-server 1.13.3-1 -> 1.14.0-2
Nothing really interesting in dmesg or systemd log. Xorg.log spits out
...
AddScreen/ScreenInit failed for driver 0 : -1
...
but nothing else of interest. I can upload Xorg.log if necessary, but I need some pointers in how to go about debugging this...
And yes, since I'm using testing I expect it to break. It's still better than Mac OS X...

Are you using an xorg.conf (i.e., /etc/X11/xorg.conf)? If so, move/rename it and see if it works without one.

Sorry, should have mentioned that in the first post. I am not using an xorg.conf file. There are of course config files for input devices etc under xorg.conf.d/ but none for graphic cards.

I can confirm the issue. Downgrading to older version (xorg-server and xf86-input-evdev as dependancy) works (touch input on laptop doesn't work correctly after that though, didn't have time to debug it properly)

x-server moved to Extra (https://www.archlinux.org/packages/extr … rg-server/), so no longer a testing issue. Bug still exist though...
