gnome question

hi all,

i haven't used gnome for quite some time now, but thought i would give it a try again. i cant remember how to edit the menus.
i thought it was going into nautlius and typing:

applications:///

but that doesn't work. what gives?

Other option: rightclick a menu and click "edit".
IMHO smeg fucks up my menus all the time
