XBMC & libmariadbclient

I have just realized - now that I was going to update my system - that xbmc-12.1-1 has as a dependency libmariadbclient. The problem is that I have already installed mysql (and so libmysqlclient). Does anyone have a suggestion what to do about this conflict, except of course replacing MySQL with MariaDB?

You can install libmysqlclient from [testing], which provides libmariadbclient. But keep in mind that the plan is to completely drop mysql [1] so you should consider migrating to mariadb

OK, I didn't know that. So I should prepare to transition to MariaDB. Thanks for the info!
