Got that new machine but even Knoppix 4 doesn't see there's a 80GB SataII HDD (Desktar Hitachi) on the Asrock 939Dual-SATA2 mobo.
mobo sataII controller is based on PCI E SATA2 controller JMB360.
Bios perfectly announce the HDD & I got no other internal HDD.
I'll get a floppy drive 2morrow (isn't it funny that one needs the oldest tech to boot the newest ?) just in case I need some driver
Should I give a try with the SataII HDD connected to one of the 2 Sata controllers & install Arch (as well as others OS), then put it back on the SataII controller ?
Or should I take an IDE HDD, install Arch on it, then try to chroot the SataII HDD and install AL on it (like with quickinst Script) ?
