[SOLVED] dwm & tearing (nvidia)

Hello!

I noticed screen tearing while dragging windows and large images on 1:1 scale in chrome/chromium and in image viewer.
After some investigation of the problem I understood why Linus Torvalds loves nvidia so much, and the only solution was to use a compositing window manager.
Thus, I decided to give a try to Compton. It copes well with opengl sync and moving/resizing windows now is ok, but tearing images is still here. I tried ristretto, gpicview and viewnior, and google-chrome.

Besides, now I see tearing in google-chrome while scrolling with Chromium Wheel Smooth Scroller enabled. Oh, god... Truly, what has been seen cannot be unseen.

The question is: dwm hackers with nvidia cards and nvidia drivers, how do you cope with tearing?

Re: [SOLVED] dwm & tearing (nvidia)

Problem solved with compton-git from AUR with " --backend glx --vsync opengl-swc --paint-on-overlay" args.
