Requiring root password in a live cd

I'd like to know if there's a way to prevent users from resetting the root password or adding/removing users from a live cd, by asking the root password when someone chroot's. I know I can set a password to boot. But that would be annoying, since my laptop doesn't run 24/7 (in fact I boot it up several times a day). I also know that anyone would still be able to nuke the hard drive, but I don't know anyone that evil wink

Re: Requiring root password in a live cd

In short, no.

If you care about security, encrypt your disk.
