alsaconf appends strange stuff to modprobe.conf

Here's a strange little bug. If you tell alsaconf "yes" when asked whether you want to modify modprobe.conf, it appends this to the file:

alias snd-card-0 snd-*** debug [lib/liblow.c(205)]:
alias sound-slot-0 snd-*** debug [lib/liblow.c(205)]:

instead of putting in whatever module it ought to. Both the last and current version of alsa-utils seem to be affected.

Re: alsaconf appends strange stuff to modprobe.conf

This has been an issue for a while.

From http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php? … low#124561 found by searching "alsaconf liblow"

A google search indicated that liblow.c belongs to gpm.

If you remove gpm, alsaconf works fine.  If you need gpm, then you'll need to complain to them. wink
