Arch/Raspbery Pi - failed to mount /mnt, no response to keyboard

Hi -

I made a modification to /etc/fstab intending to mount an external USB drive automatically at startup. Unfortunately the mount fails, the last lines of output on the screen are :

Give root password for maintenance
(or type Control-D to continue)

The keyboard does not respond at all. Is there any way to interrupt the boot sequence to stop it attempting to mount /mnt? Tried cntl-C, in fact, tried most keys.

I'm guessing maybe not as the mount of /mnt is being tried before the system knows about the keyboard? If there isn't a way to interrup the boot is there any way to repair the image on the SD card?

Thanks

This is ArchLinux, not ArchLinuxArm. Please ask on their forums.

Welcome to Arch Linux.
Scimmia is right, but Arch Linux ARM does have an excellent site that can help you more than can we.
