Package corruption

When creating packages, what generally causes package corruption?  I find that when I attempt to create packages (as of late), pretty much all of them are reported as being corrupted when attempting to install them.  When looking into the problem further it appears that the md5sums match as does the package size.  Any ideas?

Re: Package corruption

Are you putting these packages into a local database and are they the same packages as in the official repos? If so, pacman will first look at its database for the md5sum. If you have more than one package of the same, (repo package info vs your package info) it will look at the repo version first and compare to the package trying to be installed. If the sums don't match the target package, it will fail.
