[SOLVED] Problems with urxvt: can't upgrade

Hi men, they are several months that i cannot update urxvt since it crashs if i install a newer version than 9.15-1...Error report is:

[1] 9767 segmentation fault (core dumped) urxvt

What's the problem? The package i've installed is rxvt-unicode from core repositories, which gives me another error:

Perl API version v5.14.0 of urxvt does not match v5.16.0 at -e line 1.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at -e line 1.
urxvt: unable to initialize perl-interpreter, continuing without.

and so i'm unable to use certain perl extensions...

Hope you can help!

Regards!

I suspect there is something wrong with your xresources.  Update fully (pacman -Syu), then remove any settings from .Xresources/.Xdefaults, restart X to make sure you have a clean resource database, then try launching urxvt.

Solved, i checked my .Xdefaults line by line and i discovered that the number of savelines i've had set was too high, i reduced it and all works fine
