Is it only my system, or is everyone's new KDE screenlocker dog slow?
When resuming from sleep, the desktop is displayed for an average of 5-10s before the kde remembers that the screen is locked! Lately, the lock screen does not seem to be activated until a key is pressed. This sluggishness defeats the purpose of a lockscreen.
And this is KDE 4.10 on modern hardware (i7 with intel gfx; 8GB of RAM)

Are you using google chrome/chromium?
If you are, try killing all chrome-related processes on ksysguard before sleeping, to check if this is related to https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=159237
(summary of the linked post, chrome/ium leaves zombie processes, and kde-stuff becomes slooooooooow)

That could very possibly be the problem. I use chromium and the other day I noticed that my KDE desktop had practically frozen. Ended up rebooting. Switched to using firefox for now. Hopefully that helps.

After using firefox consistently since my last post, the problem still persists. The lag feels like it is getting worse.

This only happens when using the nvidia driver.
