Gateway CX2618 (TA1) wacom config

I am at a loss as to what I can do to get the touchscreen working on my tab/laptop. I tried following the lenovo X60 in structions to see if it would get me anywhere and I'm pretty much still at square one.  No one seems to have information from the google searches I've done for this laptop when it comes to setting up wacom/touchscreen, so I figured I'd ask around here.  Maybe I can figure it out if I'm asked the right questions to look/check and respond to. I think the main setback is lack of using an xorg.conf file (as most wacom stuff I have found focuses on use of this file). Pretty sure I plugged everything in correctly, but I may just open it up and start from there just to be on the safe side.  ANY help would be great!!!
