[SOLVED] mint-x-icons doesn't work anymore after update

After update (yesterday), mint-x-icons does not work anymore.
I use LXAppereance to switch between icons theme: mint-x entry continues to be present, but it does not work (it appears the standard gnome theme, I thought).

Any ideas to solve the issue?

Alternatively, which package can I downgrade in order to restore the correct functioning of mint-x-icons?
(gtk2, gtk3, other?)

Re: [SOLVED] mint-x-icons doesn't work anymore after update

I'm afraid I have an up-to-date system and confirm that the icons from the "mint-x-icons" package work correctly for GTK2, GTK3, and Qt applications.

What is in your "~/.gtkrc-2.0" file?

gtk-theme-name="Mint-X"
gtk-icon-theme-name="Mint-X"
gtk-font-name="Sans 10"

No, I'm right.
The full upgrade brokes the icons (because of the new icu package).

There are a number of other post in this forum section in this regard.

Luckily, I found a solution in one of these topics.
The command:

sudo /usr/bin/gdk-pixbuf-query-loaders --update-cache

make the icons work properly again.
