VDPAU acceleration for Radeons

Hi, as ATI annonced yesterday, native HW acceleration for Radeon GPUs for HD-4000 and newer will be added to kernel and free radeon driver. Are there any news from maintainers or another Arch cookers about which packages will be affected and which video engines (apps) will gain benefits from this? Linux Steam iniciative seems giving first attractive crop in this early spring time...

There isn't any news about this in Arch-dev-public mailing list until now. If any kernel driver feature is added in linux kernel, arch will just get it.
