Hi all,
my touchpad is detected like this:
⎡ Virtual core pointer id=2 [master pointer (3)]
⎜ ↳ Virtual core XTEST pointer id=4 [slave pointer (2)]
⎜ ↳ Logitech USB Receiver id=11 [slave pointer (2)]
⎜ ↳ Logitech USB Receiver id=12 [slave pointer (2)]
⎜ ↳ ETPS/2 Elantech Touchpad id=14 [slave pointer (2)]
and it is working on KDE bootup (while splash screen is on). Approximately halfway through the splash screen it just stops moving and stays like that. Function keys are recognized in XEV, but they do not activate it.
It might be important to mention that samsung_laptop module is blacklisted in order for backlight settings to work. If I remove it from the blacklist nothing changes even after a reboot. If you need any more info, don't hesitate to ask.

I don't know why or how, but it works now without a flaw. This one is SOLVED.

I'm sorry for bumping this thread, but touchpad is not working right now, for reasons unknown to me. Since my last post (when it was working) nothing has changed; I've put the laptop to "sleep" and now the touchpad doesn't work...again.

I've found the solution. There is a file located in
.kde4/share/config/
named
ktouchpadenablerrc
In that file is a boolean setting, which controls the touchpad (somehow) in KDE.
[general]
touchpadEnabled=true
and it works.
