amaroK under Xfce

I love amaroK, it's the best music app i've ever tried. Maybe a little buggie, but very very full of features.
I use Xfce, but amarok runs well (i guess faster that under KDE)

My problem is that, when loading a new playlist (collection / right click / load) usually i get an error message saying that "kmail could not be found" -or something like that- and amarok crashes.

Anyone could tell me what's happening and/or how to fix it?

When amarok crashes, it opens kmail with attached backtrace. Thus, probably the only way to get rid of that 'kmail could not be found' message is to get rid of the bug itself ;-)

Try compiling amarok from svn or install 1.3.6, if you're still on 1.3.5 (version with mysql support is still in testing, together with mysql). I had such such nasty problems with crashes while loading playlist with qt3.3.5 and amarok <=1.3.5 myself.

Cool, didn't know that!
I'm already using amarok 1.3.6 (w/ KDE 3.5.0), nothing changed since 1.3.5
I'll try the non-mysql version and post.

Is the mysql support better than sqlite?? I ask 'cause i was using the second and maybe a possible solution would be to try mysql...

I don't think it's worth the hassle of setting up the mysql server.

I think mysql is a bit faster than sqlite - but that might be placebo.
And I think amarok + mysql draws some more juice than amarok+sqlite - but setting up a mysql server isn't that hard either...
