Re: April 2013 Screenshots

@theGunslinger
I see your point and I had this problem in the past with Inconsolata font.
Can't remember the fix...maybe I will try another font...

This error often means that the font isn't loaded correctly in the first place (the semi-generic sans looks also indicates this; it happens when font's metrics aren't parsed correctly). Sometimes the fix is as easy as rebuilding font cache and / or restarting X, while some other time you need to pick a different font. URxvt happens to be fussy... wink

This is the way a font can be tweaked when it's otherwise loaded correctly. However, it's not the case here...

What's your terminal font?

Source Code Pro

My only gripe about the font is that it uses a dot instead of a slash for zeroes...

I think this is OK now??

Simple error;

urxvt*font:                 xft:Inconsolata Medium:pixelsize=14
urxvt*boldFont:             xft:Inconsolata Bold:pixelsize=14

should have read;

urxvt*font:                 xft:Inconsolata:Medium:pixelsize=14
urxvt*boldFont:             xft:Inconsolata:Bold:pixelsize=14

@bohoomil
Do you think the fonts have the correct separation now?

Re: April 2013 Screenshots

@karabaja4
Thanks for the update script - working fine - sorry I should have added this before the last screenshot... but it also shows more of my Inconsolata fonts following the correction above.

Yes, now the font is recognized correctly and rendered like a non-proportional (= monospaced) one should be.

Openbox + urxvt + Conky. (Wallpaper)

I like Openbox, but I'm considering switching to a different WM. DWM seems nice enough, but I think I'm going to give Xmonad a go when I have the time. The thought of editing C for every single change I want is frightening.

I often think to myself that I'd like to learn Lisp, though I'm not entirely sure that I'll ever use it for anything. But I have a bit of free time this afternoon, and I feel like learning _something_, so why not get started with a bit of reading? smile

I've seen young people waste their time reading books about sensitive vampires. It's kinda sad. But you say it's not the end of the world... Well, maybe it is!
