KHTML and ARTS problems

First off, i'll start with ARTS.

ARTS hasn't been working well for a while now, a computer playing iE mp3s for a long time - arts crashed (cpu overload).
The arts package got updated within this, but now the cpu-overload error disappeared, instead of this .. arts just stops playing sound after a while - without throwing any error.

Next issue i've with KHTML. I've cookies enabled, though, i can't login on this board (i.e.) with konqueror. Posting with Firefox now though.

I actually dont know, havn't been experiencing this problem a while ago.. 3.4.3 braught all this fun to me.

arts 1.4.3-1
kdebase 3.4.3-1 (and all other kde-packages).

Just wanted to know if anyone else is experiencing problems like this? Then it's may worth a report, after we know where exactly the source of problem is (package or developers of kde/arts).

Same problem here - cannot log-in to this board using Konqueror (KDE 3.4.3).  Firefox is OK.

Any thoughts as to where one might begin to track down this fault?

Re: KHTML and ARTS problems

I'd say we should start tracking all this in the kde bugtracking system... lookin' up the konqueror / khtml / arts buglists. Maybe it's already a known issue

Yes, but there must be many users of this board who log-in sucessfully with konqueror 3.4.3 otherwise one would expect lots of failure reports etc.  I cannot imagine that everyone is using Firefox, Opera or whatever.

I will do some checks with a SuSE installation I have elsewhere once I have sorted out problems with hwdetect which intermittently hangs on boot.
