In last versions (from 4.12.4) pacmanxg executed under current user. Program only check if entered password is root password and then uses this password when it needed.

I think to remove this message.

Just trying out pacmanXG4, looks really nice, I've been using yaourt-gui and been very happy.

Problem I have is the news is mostly ????, am I missing a font, or something not setup write ?

(+) Cache management ("Tasks -> "Cache management"). You can delete/install packages from cache.
(+) Add new role for searching. You can now search multiple packages separated by commas. Try to look for the following packages:
"fpc"
"fpc src"
"fpc, nano"
"fpc src, nano"

- some changes in building table procedure and filter procedure.

Some restyling and in this version I try use component "synapce" for downloading images instead wget utility. If you have time please check how it works.

I installed the latest version (4.14.7-2) from AUR, it compiled without errors , but i get this error on run

This solution was found on archpup forum

i found the solution to PacmanXG not running. and that is to remove the file /etc/localtime and symlink /etc/localtime to the file /usr/share/zoneinfo/US/Michigan

I'm guessing any timezone would work but not sure. so running the two commands:

rm /etc/localtime
ln -s /usr/share/zoneinfo/US/Michigan /etc/localtime

will fix the 203 error. u might want to look inside the /usr/share/zoneinfo directory....and try symlinking to your own timezone. I strongly doubt if it's working, just because it's 'Michigan'.

I am having a similar issue I do not know if its related. I also cannot run steam anymore. It happened after I installed the new gcclib update I beleive from doing a pacman -Syyu.

I guess since the last update (4.16.3) I can't mark several packages anymore to install them all at once, which I could do before...
Now I have to process every package separately.

Am I missing something?
