Hello everyone. Guys, I need some help.
I'm absolutely killed by this:
Screenshots
I'm using ASUS GeForce GTX 550 Ti with nouveau drivers (early KMS enabled). My FULL HD monitor connected to graphic card via DVI.
I tried both libtxc_dxtn (+ lib32 version of course) from repos and from AUR, its all the same (AUR version installed at the moment).
And I also faced some other issues, but i'm sure they are related.
I tried to run DotA 2 and Diablo III through wine. It worked, BUT:
1. in DotA, when some action came to the screen, right half of the screen (like on TF screenshots) turned completely black, except panel with inventory and other stuff.
2. in Diablo, everything except upper left quarter turned completely black.
Please, somebody, help!

While Noveau has show big steps forward in terms of performance and features, it still can not compete with the propritary NVidia blob. Since your card is a recent one and well supported by the NVidia blob, I would suggest you exchange Noveau with the most recent NVidia blob.
The last time I tried Noveau together with my GeForce 9800GT it was at least good enough to play Darkplaces with the mods Kleshik and Superduperquake.
Xonotic and Alien Arena worked as well with high details and no visible corruptions.

AMD E350 (2x1.6GHz) / 8GB DDR3 RAM / GeForce 9500GT (passive) / Arch running from 16GB USB Stick

Yeah Nouveau is crap in terms of performance and quality. Not really shocking news. The real driver is often 2-3x faster.

I think Noveau makes only sense if you are either at "freedom buff" or your card is not supported anymore by the NVidia blob (e.g. GeForce 4 or older)

Hi zoorg,
for gaming there is only one driver that's good, the proprietary one ...
on how many pc's i tried noaveau, it's currently awfull, even on basic compatibility, so ... maybe in the future, but right now NO.

Not quite correct...
The usability of Noveau depends on your GPU and the games you want to play. For most older cards I tried (GeForce 4400 Ti, 5700FX, 8600GTS and 9800GT) it is at least good enough to play many Open source FPS (Xonotic, Open Arena, Red Eclipse) and even a few commercial titles that are less demanding.
Of course playing Rage, Bioshock or something like this under WINE with Nouveau will fail
Sadly NVidia does not support Nouveau in any way but at least they support legacy cards with their blobs longer than AMD / ATI does.
