How to decrease KMix volume changing step?

Currently I have a 10% of volume changing per mouse wheel rotation.
I would like to decrease this value to 5% or may be even to 3%, but I can't find where this setting could be changed.
Google knows nothing about it. I looked through kmixrc, but nothing about volume changing here.

Thanks in advance.

Re: How to decrease KMix volume changing step?

I have easily googled out https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=189995#c2 (testing seems to show that the set step is multiplied by 6).

Nope, unfortunatly it doesn't work for KDE 4.10, for 4.8 only.

It works here also, but very strange:

VolumePercentageStep=20  => 60% changing per wheel rotation
VolumePercentageStep=10  => 30% changing per wheel rotation
VolumePercentageStep=5   => 10% changing per wheel rotation
VolumePercentageStep=4   => 10% changing per wheel rotation
VolumePercentageStep=3   => 10% changing per wheel rotation
VolumePercentageStep=2   => 10% changing per wheel rotation
VolumePercentageStep=1   => 10% changing per wheel rotation

Looks like minimal changing locked at 10%.

Re: How to decrease KMix volume changing step?

I downloaded kmix source files, made changes in kmixdocwidget.cpp and rebuild kmix. Under pkg directory I found new kmix executable, started it and tried mousewheel. Seems OK, 3% per wheel rotation.
But I can't install it into system. When running "makepkg -i" I getting an old mixer, that still performs 10% changing. Also I tried "pacman -U <package-name>" with the same result.
I tried to clean cache (removed kmix packages from /var/cache/pacman/pkg) but this doesn't helped.
How to install newly built kmix?
Where the old kmix coming from?

It looks like I have two kmix simultaneously. The old kmix for regular user and the new kmix for root.
"kmix" (as regular user) launches old kmix. "kdesu kmix" launches new kmix. What the hell?
