[SOLVED] Emacs: GUI failure

Hi,

I've got Arch installed on two different boxes. Installations are very similar: x86_64, KDE, etc. On one of those boxes GUI won't emerge, though the emacs process starts and remains there until killed manually. emacs -nw is working nice, as if nothing were wrong. On another box everything is ok, including GUI. Emacs configuration is exactly the same: .emacs is being shared via git. What is the possible avenue of research?

I had the same problem; disabling the oxygen-gtk theme as per https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1262759 worked for me.

Re: [SOLVED] Emacs: GUI failure

Exactly. Emacs gtk3 theme saved the day. Is it a joke (Emacs theme)?

UPD:

To whom it may concern: adwaita gtk3 theme also works, and looks so much nicer smile . There's always gnome-themes-standard package.
