It's seems to be a kernel bug.

To fix it when it occurs:

sudo modprobe -r psmouse && sudo modprobe psmouse

You all need to use code tags for that output there.  eYeMz, I see you know how to use code tags, but they are for more than just command examples.  In fact, I think it would ahve been better to have put code tags around the dmesg output and not the modprobe command than to have done it the way you did.  Though ideally, it should be around both.
