After a kernel upgrade (to the 3.8 series), I am unable to make Empathy Gtalk video calls, or skype video calls (audio doesn't work). When I activate a video call on skype, the microphone doesn't work in skype (although it shows volume output via pulseaudio). I cannot make video calls via Empathy Gtalk because the video seems to break and the call disconnects. I believe this is an issue with the combined audio and video on the webcam. Interestingly, using the gtalk plugin from the AUR doesn't suffer from these problems. Does anyone have any advice on how to fix this issue?
