USB Half Recognized [Solved]

I plug in my USB drive and I see in dmesg:

[413492.589872] usb 2-1.3: new high-speed USB device number 30 using ehci-pci

but lsblk shows no new device nor fdisk -l

I fire up VirtualBox and it sees the drive fine and I can access it in my VM.

Usually when I plugin a USB drive I see it in lsblk.

Any ideas why I don't with this one? The "drive" is actually a card reader, but I don't think that should matter.

Re: USB Half Recognized [Solved]

Did you upgrade your kernel and not reboot?
