What is the difference between oss 4.2_2007-2 and oss-hg?

Hi all,
I have installed OSS 4.2_2007-2 but I have seen there is a package called oss-hg, so what is the difference between them? Which is the best one?
I am thinking about installing oss-hg as I have some problems with oss 4.2_2007-2? What do you recommend me?

or maybe it is worth to try oss 4.2_2007-3?

Thanks!

oss-hg is the development version of oss. It pulls the latest code from its mercurial repo.

Thanks a lot, but anyway if oss-hg pulls the latest code from its mercurial repo why its last version is from 2010-05-28 07:38 and oss 4.2_2007-2 is updated to 2013-03-14 21:33? It seems that oss 4.2 figures more updated than oss-hg.

2010-05-28 07:38 is the date that the PKGBUILD was last updated. It doesn't mean that the code is of that date. Similarly with the oss package. Version 4.2_2007 was released a while ago, but the package have been updated with package fixes or similar:
