Loading X with Intel/AMD hybrid graphics loads wrong Intel driver

I have a laptop (Macbookpro8,2 to be precise) that I'm trying to get Arch onto.
Everything went fairly trivially with the install until it came to the video cards and X.

The driver listed for the Intel HD4000 that's in the machine is the i915 driver, however libgl tries to load the i965 driver.
I'm having a hard time finding a way to dump the log that contains that error though.
When I boot and do an "xinit" all goes black, but if I shift to tty1 one of the messages displayed:

libGL Error: failed to load driver i965

among a few others related to sound (which I bypassed for now).

I've included the xorg log file and a few related dmesg entries.
From them you can see I have the i915 module loaded (if I cange to i965 I get 'does not exist' error)
I also made sure to

pacman -S xf86-video-intel xf86-video-ati xorg-server xorg-xinit gnome gdm

Anyone have any ideas?

The Xorg.0.log file does contain references to the i965 so it is choosing that driver on startup.
