Hi everyone,
I'm using Awesome WM (v3.5) in dual screen mode: laptop (eDP1) left-of screen (VGA1). I set them up with xrandr.
It's the default rc.lua configuration.
I use Chromium 25.0.1364.172.
1. When Chromium is on my laptop eDP1, I can reorganize tabs within the same Chromium window, by dragging them with the mouse.
2. When Chromium is on my VGA1, dragging a tab automatically creates a new Chromium window from the dragged tab.
How can I always have the behaviour #1 on both screens?

I've had this issue, but it didn't concern me enough to look into it - I just left tabs in whatever their order was. Thinking about it, what tiling setup did you have on the screens when trying to do this? Perhaps it only works with free floating and any of the tiling modes whip that tab away from you and make a new window.

I have this problem too.

This is reproducible on my system as chromium being unable to reorganize tabs on any monitor except Monitor 1. Using awesome, no rules for chromium set. Upstream bug reports seem to indicate this is a more general problem, but I'm curious to see if maybe the version (I'm not on -beta or -dev) will fix it. Or maybe another wm?

FYI. This bug was reported in 2012, Arch is not supported by Chrome, and this issue fixed itself on Ubuntu. http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issue … ?id=132706
