Just dusted off my netbook and installed Arch on it again. I decided to try Xfce again and see what's different. I have to say I am fairly impressed so far. Deskbar panel and edge snap are very welcome. Feels like my win7 desktop lol.

Thanks! Just trying to do work, or just playing Age of Empires through Wine
Everybody's screenshots look so nice. Xfce has certainly gotten a facelift in recent years.

I've also started using XFCE4. Cinnamon was way too buggy and crashed quite often. XFCE4 isn't perfect neither; but it currently fits best. Here's my current desktop (still working on a Conky config):

Kinda busy:

Hey, what's that font?
It's Droid Sans, available from ttf-droid. As for the non-bold desktop texts: you have to modify a specific .gtkrc (or .gtkrc-2.0) file. I don't remember which one anymore; but there was a guide somewhere.

Yep.
A while ago I needed to run a lot of VirtualBox machines with different operating systems including hardware firewall/router emulators.
Those 16 gigs got full pretty quick.
