Re: Rumor: Microsoft Office for Linux!

Nah I changed my mind. I read that Linus said that 'If Microsoft ever does applications for Linux it means I've won.'

Fundamental Axiom of the Universe (aka Murphy's Law): Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong.
First Digital Deduction: Nothing obeys Murphy's Law so well as computers.
Second Digital Deduction: Everything go wrong at least once.
Third Digital Deduction: Things go wrong even when there's absolutely no possibility of anything go wrong.

Re: Rumor: Microsoft Office for Linux!

You may not but as you interact and share files with other users that do want office, you need to find a way until everyone agrees with you wink

The spreadsheet is where linux needs to get better, I still use R over Calc ...

Re: Rumor: Microsoft Office for Linux!

I am glad My work place doesn't use MSoffice and they already resolved to apache openoffice. But I understand lot of unfortunate people  still have/forced to use MS office.

Re: Rumor: Microsoft Office for Linux!

Still there's a brech in the fact that office is changing quickly, in terms of interface and compatibility, so here again microsoft is competing against itself ...
