[SOLVED] cisco_ipsec

I need to get cisco vpn working fro work. With kernels up to and including 3.8.2 it worked fine, but kernels since then baulk on cisco_ipsec claiming it can't be loaded. Modprobe cisco_ipsec gives a module not found error.

I really don't want to go back to 3.8.2, though I've tried reinstalling cisco, I've tried vpnc (permission denied when I try to connect) and I'm stumped.

Any ideas what I need to do to get the cisco_ipsec module buil;t and working with later kernels?

EDIT:

Damn - that was quick - I've been trying for ages, and on a hunch:

sudo depmod

and all fixed

I feel like such a fool
