GDM session.log missing
Dear community!
I deleted the GDM session.log (~/.cache/gdm/session.log) and expected GDM to create a new one on login. But even after restarting there's still no session.log. Also tried to remove the gdm Folder from '.cache', expecting GDM to create it, which didn't happen on logout/login respectively reboot.
As I didn't find anything in the log files (syslog/journald/gdm.log) I'm stuck. I'd be glad if anybody is able to put me on tracks on how to get GDM writing a session.log again, or how to further investigate this issue.

I'm kinda happy I'm not alone. Was douting my skills. I hope to get to setup a virtual machine to do some tests this weekend.
But to add some content: I've hung out for two days on GDM IRC but nobody was able to help me there either.

It's in systemd journal.
You should be able to get the session.log if you filter the journal with something like:

I'd prefer to have it in ~/.xsession-errors (or ~/.cache/gdm/session.log). Does anybody know a way to restore the old behavior?

You need to rebuild the gdm package using the ABS, and add:
--enable-systemd-journal=no to the ./configure options.
The default is 'auto', that is yes if the systemd journald is found.
You may try to add a feature request in Arch bug tracker, for that to become the default in the Arch package; and ask for votes from other users.
