Firstly, you should change the thread title to summarize your issue.
Secondly, try rebuilding the package - the current one is over a year old.

There seems to be an issue with Intel and Compiz. To launch Compiz you have to always enter the following command into a terminal (as stated in the arch wiki).
LIBGL_ALWAYS_INDIRECT=true compiz --replace --sm-disable ccp &
This works for me, however I have no idea how to make it so Compiz auto starts on login. Simply pasting this command into "sessions and startup" doesn't work.
If anyone knows how to set Compiz to auto start with the above command on Xfce4 I would be grateful.

There is a bug report on fusion-icon, but I don't have the number atm. If you install the updated version of fusion-icon linked to in the bug report, this issue is resolved. If I'm not mistaken, the writer of the updated version put it in AUR recently.
I believe I've found the bug report you're referring to and it does indeed point to a fix that has been placed in the AUR. I haven't tried it yet myself, but just wanted to say thanks for letting me know about it.
