Hi.
A while ago, I was able to get Arch installed on my laptop but decided to switch to ubuntu for a while. Recently I decided to give Arch another go, and I ran into a problem that I didn't have the first time I installed it, and it's confusing me quite a bit. It happens early on during the installation process: during the wifi set up.
I did the following according to the beginners guide:
I typed iwconfig to find the name of my wireless interface(I can't access a browser from the installer, so I'm just going to type the entire output). It returned:
wlp2s0 IEEE 802.11bgn ESSID:off/any
Mode: Managed Access Point: Not-Associated Tx-Power=14 dBm
Retry long limit:7 RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off
Encryption key:off
Power Managment:on
lo no wireless interface
enp4s0 no wireless interface
From this, I typed "iplink set wlp2s0 up". Then I typed wifi-menu wlp2s0, and here is where I ran into the problem. Insted of getting a list of wireless networks to join, like I did the first time I installed arch, I got this output:
zsh: command not found: wifi-menu
This is a very irritating problem. At first I thought I'd just to the rest of the installation and worry about the wifi later, but when I tried to install the base system I realized that I need to be able to connect to mirrors in order to install the system. Any help you guys could offer would be much appreciated.
Thank.
