Hey,
First time posting on here as I couldn't find an article similar to this problem anywhere.
Basicly I can be using my Laptop/ not even touching it and I watched it from "acpi_listen" saying lid_close or something along those words. Now I can't get this to replicate in Ubuntu or Windows which makes me think its not a hardware issue or a loose connection/wire. I also can't replicate it by shaking the screen or pressing a button combination its random from where I'm sitting.
I'd run Ubuntu on it for 10 months or so without a glitch on anything. Then ran Arch for ~2 months without a glitch then it started happening and hadn't got round to trying to fix it. I've since reinstalled Arch last night hoping it was maybe something I'd installed conflicting.
I've tried:
Removing Cpupower
Removing Xfce power manager
Haven't installed Xscreensaver yet
Haven't installed or touched anything "power related" yet.
(Laptop Model Asus K53SC)
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Tom
