problem with Cairo-dock

Sometimes Cairo-dock closes in my computer. Today, it happens again and I tried to open it from the konsole and I got this:

[david@pc_escritorio ~]$ cairo-dock
warning : (/build/src/cairo-dock-3.2.1/src/gldit/cairo-dock-opengl.c:cairo_dock_initialize_opengl_backend:202)
couldn't find an appropriate visual, trying to get one without Stencil buffer
(it may cause some little deterioration in the rendering) ...

Re: problem with Cairo-dock

try running it as:   "cairo-dock --keep-above"

it´s basically not closing, but staying hidden. if it still runs, close it first with pkill cairo-dock to avoid multiple instances.

Re: problem with Cairo-dock

What are you not telling us?  Have you built but not installed cairo-dock?  Did you install it without using pacman?  Those paths indicate it is not properly installed which is why it is not finding the libs where they should be.

EDIT: Mods, sorry I wrongly reported the last post as a necrobump.  I was looking at the wrong date (registered vs post date).

Re: problem with Cairo-dock

Trilby, i´m pretty new to all this stuff, but his messages just look like "normal" warnings to me. cairo-dock seems to fire a lot of warnings around.

Re: problem with Cairo-dock

/build/src/cairo-dock-3.2.1/src is a normal directory for cairo to run from?  The binary is running from a /build/.../src directory, but it is looking in the /usr/lib directory for the object files which is where they would be only after the program has been properly installed.

Re: problem with Cairo-dock

cairo-dock installed from community repo delivers the same here:

alroar@x200 ~ % cairo-dock --keep-above
warning : (/build/src/cairo-dock-3.2.1/src/gldit/cairo-dock-opengl.c:cairo_dock_initialize_opengl_backend:202)
