cross compile sh4 arch package on PC

I tried to compile arch's package on sh4 CPU arch.
Because my sh4 machine only contains 128M RAM.

So, I can not compile large packages.

Is there any tip to let me use cross compiler on PC to compile sh4 targeted package?
