Alsa crashing

Hi, I'm using Awesome wm and at random while surfing the web everything becomes unresponsive and I get a warning from the volume applet. After that everything either crashes to console or I need to switch to a tty, issue a systemctl stop slim.service and start it again. After checking with journalctl I found the following:

May 27 15:09:17 chris pulseaudio[5260]: [alsa-source] alsa-source.c: ALSA woke us up to read new data from the device, but there was actually nothing to read!
May 27 15:09:17 chris pulseaudio[5260]: [alsa-source] alsa-source.c: Most likely this is a bug in the ALSA driver 'snd_hda_intel'. Please report this issue to the ALSA developers.
May 27 15:09:17 chris pulseaudio[5260]: [alsa-source] alsa-source.c: We were woken up with POLLIN set -- however a subsequent snd_pcm_avail() returned 0 or another value < min_avail.
May 27 15:09:18 chris pulseaudio[5260]: [pulseaudio] module.c: module-combine is deprecated: Please use module-combine-sink instead of module-combine!
May 27 15:09:18 chris pulseaudio[5260]: [pulseaudio] module-combine.c: We will now load module-combine-sink. Please make sure to remove module-combine from your configuration.
May 27 15:09:21 chris pulseaudio[5260]: [alsa-sink] alsa-sink.c: ALSA woke us up to write new data to the device, but there was actually nothing to write!
May 27 15:09:21 chris pulseaudio[5260]: [alsa-sink] alsa-sink.c: Most likely this is a bug in the ALSA driver 'snd_hda_intel'. Please report this issue to the ALSA developers.
May 27 15:09:21 chris pulseaudio[5260]: [alsa-sink] alsa-sink.c: We were woken up with POLLOUT set -- however a subsequent snd_pcm_avail() returned 0 or another value < min_avail.

alsa-lib and alsa-utils were upgraded two days ago and alsa-utils again today. Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

Edit: This has also occured with E17.

Re: Alsa crashing

Hi, i dont know if its related but i cannot get pulseaudio to work. whenever i do pulseaudio --start. Pulseaudio runs like two seconds and then just stops. Alsa alone plays everything just fine. I also have snd_hda_intel. However this issue does not affect the DE, so maybe is unrelated.
Trying downgrading pulseaudio and libpulse seems to work, but i'm not sure since is to early to say and i have to make more proofs. Hope this helps
