after upgrade perl to 5.18, I cannot use cpan, or anything else. it report 'cannot reload Scalar/Util.pm'
after upgrade rxvt-unicode to 9.18.4, it core dumped when run it.

I concur, I'm having the same problem.
This is still not resolved yet. In particular the perl module tabbedex and tabbed stopped working.
I'm also having a weird issue with urxvt randomly not listening to key input at start, but this might be related to xorg. I'm not sure about the last one.

Had the same issue when updating perl. Just make sure if you're using the AUR rxvt-unicode-patched version thart it is all up-to-date or the perl updates will stop it working, simples

Same happened here, I should keep another basic terminal installed in case. Used ALT+CTRL+F1, logged in as root and reinstalled. Easy enough.
