Can't start dvd::rip

I've installed dvd:rip via pacman and whenever I try to run it I get:

[filterlist] (re)scanning transcode's module path /usr/lib/transcode...

and then absolutely nothing.  Perhaps I'm not being patient enough, but I've left it for several miunutes.

I've tried switching debug on, but I can't seem to figure out an appropriate debug level - I always get the same output.

Can anyone help?

Re: Can't start dvd::rip

This happened to me also.  It's because of the new transcode package.  If you downgrade transcode it should start working again.

Do you have a link to an old transcode package?

You can get it from here (just uploaded it there from my pacman's cache).

Re: Can't start dvd::rip

Now I have a new problem - transcode fails to find libmagick.so.6

It's the same problem as in this post: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php? … =libmagick

I'm guessing that it's fixed i nthe latest version of the package, but that returns me to my original problem...  sad
