Hey, Im really really new to linux and want to install arch, but it's not possible to boot from the dual.iso, can anyone upload 32bit and 64bit version? (not the dual) whould be great!

Welcome to Arch. Can you please explain why you can't boot the dual iso? This should boot on any machine. How did you prepare the USB stick you are using?

There is no separate 32 bit and 64 bit versions anymore. How about telling us exactly what problem you're having.

Thanks, I used unetbootin to fix my usb, it says something about failed to mount ............. can't access tt: job control turned off or something like that...

Simple, STOP USING UNETBOOTIN!!!
Search the forums or the wiki, this has been said over and over.

Don't use unetbootin. Use dd.

Scimmia, the giant warning about unetbootin (placed there by DSpider, I believe) has been removed from the wiki. I think this was a mistake, but now the wiki just has a warning about regenerating syslinux.cfg after using unetbootin. If you agree with me that this is pretty weak, I will amplify the warning.

I feel like that section should be removed and a Tip placed near the top of the page that says something like "Do not use Unetbootin."
All the best,

Why even have a section discussing Unetbootin when there are so many problems arising from its usage?

That's pretty much the way it used to be, and DSpider was very consistent about flaming anyone who used unetbootin. I have no idea why it was changed.

damn, when did that happen? I honestly don't think it will matter, if people don't find that section in the wiki, they wouldn't find an amplified warning, either.

It used to say
{{Warning|DO NOT USE UNETBOOTIN. This program writes over the {{ic|syslinux.cfg}} and breaks the loading process. Please use a different program or method.}}
(edit) I also see that Kynikos (wiki admin) has been involved in the discussion about this section, so I won't change it without permission.
(edit2) I commented in the talk section. We will see what happens.

That warning sounds good to me, but I'd also defer to the admin's discretion.
All the best,
