I am trying to set YCbCr colorspace output for my monitor via my intel igp; however I have not found any information on the wiki. Does anyone have any idea how to do this?

Is your kernel 3.9 ? Seems in kernel 3.9 has some problem with YCbCr colorspace . I just downgrade to kernel 3.8 and YCbCr works fine.

Yep I'm on kernel 3.9.6-1. I was wondering how you set the colorspace in the first place. Can you elaborate?

I use HDMI output, and untill kernel 3.8 seems YCbCr is the default setting. Nothing should I set it in the first place. I don't know wheather it works with VGA or DVI.

Ah, I don't have an older kernel (I cleared out my pacman cache to remove some stuff); do you have the pkgbuild for the last kernel 3.8?

Unfortunately I have not...:(

You can use the Arch Rollback Machine for this. It is not something that is meant to be used all the time (ie. a default Server), but getting old packages, or downgrading packages to a certain past date are legit uses for it. I think this would serve as a fine example of proper use.
Also, if you check out the packages on this web site, you can search for the package in question (in this case 'linux') and then in the upper right hand corner of the default layout, there is the option to see the sources and whatnot. This will take you to the cgit for all the Arch Linux repos, where you will find all PKGBUILDs and other files that would be found accompanying the PKGBUILD (like install files, etc.).

Thanks a lot!

I am not sure if I will mark this topic as solved, since I still don't have a method of manually setting YCbCr for the monitor. The kernel downgrading method mentioned by Boneflame is not a permanent solution.
Does anyone know where I should report this issue (like which mailing list)?

I woudl report it to the kernel bug tracker.

I woudl report it to the kernel bug tracker.
I have done so; please see: FS #35834

That isn't the kernel bugtracker. That is the bug tracker for Arch Linux. Considering that Arch Linux uses near vanilla packages, any regressions or issues you see from one kernel to the next means that it is not a problem that the Arch Linux devs are able to handle. They are not about to start patching the kernel with all kinds of stuff and go against the "Arch Way" just because you report a bug. So you need to report this to the kernel bug tracker. Alternatively, you could ask on the Linux kernel mailing list.

I have posted to the Kernel Bug Tracker; see : Bug #59851
