[SOLVED]Firefox "link" is missing in gnome 3.8

So, what I did is installing "firefox-ux" to try it out, I then removed the regular firefox, after a while I wanted to go back to regular firefox, and removed "firefox-ux" and re-installed regular firefox.

the problem is now that I try and search firefox in the gnome application search I cant find it or the icon for it, from the terminal thou I can run it as usual.

Is there a way to register the links or something ?

Yes, you either modify the original ones or create custom ones for your user: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Gn … tions_view

Thanks !

cp /usr/share/applications/firefox.desktop ~/.local/share/applications/

did it for me.
