I have the following lines in may pacman.conf file (and others, ofcourse ...) :
#[testing]
Server = ftp://ftp.archlinux.org/testing/os/i686
The second line was commented out originaly and I uncommented it. The reference to the other repositories comes after the Testing reference. This is the original structure of the file that Ie found after installation.
The problem is that I getting the following error while trying to run pacman :
config: line 35: syntax error
(line 35 is the Server = .... line)
If I recomment the line, all goes well and I connecting to the other repositories for whatever I want to do.
Any ideas what the problem is ?

the first line shouldn't be commented either.

That was the problem
Thanks Dusty
Though I still wonder - why other repositories that were commented the same did work

the ones that work that way are actually reading a repo server list file, which has the repo name included.
