Remote scanning without password?

I have Sane setup on a headless server, and I have no problem starting up xsane and entering the password in the terminal when prompted. However I would like to know if it is possible to set it up so I can simply start up xsane or simple-scan and have it work without having to enter my password? I am hoping so to make it easier for my girlfriend to scan and use simple-scan on her laptop without having to deal with a terminal as she is not that techno savvy and would find it a nuisance (most likely). I know there is probably security issues involved, but that is probably only with the local network?

Re: Remote scanning without password?

You could set up saned without a password or try to store the password in ~/.sane/pass
