Hello everyone.
This is my second time installing Arch and somehow I've messed it up.
After installation and a reboot I get a black screen with the word GRUB in the top left corner - it seems to be hanging at that point.
fdisk - l / Lsblk output:

Thank you.

go back and check the section about configuring Grub.

Are you sure you are not getting the grub interactive prompt?

Do you have a hp laptop? I recently ran into this issue when trying to boot from my GRUB usb stick on a friend's laptop.

Yeah, that happened to me too. I was using a GUID partition table (BIOS system) and somehow grub only showed the word GRUB followed by a blinking prompt - no input was possible. After a few hours of triple-checking the grub configuration, I decided to just reinstall with a MBR partition table. And it worked right away.
GPT in combination with BIOS is known to cause problems on some hardware. So, if you're on a BIOS system, here's some info.

Thank you! I installed it last time with MBR instead and it worked fine so I'm guessing thats the problem. Will report later.

Yup it works fine with when using MBR. Thanks everyone!
If it helps anyone in future - I was using virtualbox 4.2.12.
